FAST & FEARLESS

Fast & Fearless is a documentary film about race car driver Hellé Nice that tells a gripping story of triumph, scandal, and a fall from grace. Born Mariette Hélène Delangle in 1900 France, she began as a model and cabaret dancer but found her true passion in motorsport. In the 1920s and 1930s, she broke into the male-dominated racing world, defying expectations. After World War II, Nice faced accusations of being a Nazi collaborator—unproven but damaging to her reputation. Fellow racer Louis Chiron publicly defamed her, leading to her exile from the racing community. In her later years, she lived in isolation and poverty, dying in obscurity in 1984, her legacy nearly forgotten.
