After World War II, Nice faced accusations of being a Nazi collaborator—unproven but damaging to her reputation. Fellow racer Louis Chiron publicly defamed her, leading to her exile from the racing community. In her later years, she lived in isolation and poverty, dying in obscurity in 1984, her legacy nearly forgotten.
